With the new roof of BC Place currently being installed, the BC Lions will play this season at the newly constructed Empire Fields.
The temporary stadium was completed in only 111 days. It seats 27,500 people, uses artificial turf and has a new lighting system.
THis huge stadium was built for $10 million. Remember the little tent that was home to Canada House during the Olympics? That little tent cost taxpayers $15 million. How a little tent set up for 2 weeks can cost more than an entire stadium to build is baffling to say the least...
